NYCD Columbia Association Scholarship Awards to Be Presented at the 2026 High Roller’s Ball

The New York City Department of Correction Columbia Association is proud to continue its longstanding tradition of supporting higher education within our community. Each year, we provide scholarship opportunities to deserving students, reflecting our commitment to both academic excellence and community service.

We are pleased to announce that the 2026 Scholarship Awards will be formally presented at this year’s High Roller’s Ball, an elegant casino night to be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026. This signature event will bring together members, families, and friends of the Columbia Association for an evening of camaraderie, entertainment, and recognition.

The Scholarship Awards

Two scholarships, each in the amount of $1,000, will be awarded:

• The John A. Romano Scholarship Fund – generously endowed by John Romano, honoring his commitment to giving back to the community.

• The NYCD Columbia Association Scholarship Fund – awarded directly by the Columbia Association to further support the academic goals of our members’ families.

These scholarships reflect our dedication to investing in the future and empowering the next generation through education.

The presentation of these awards at the High Roller’s Ball underscores the significance of this annual celebration. Alongside an evening of fine dining, casino-style entertainment, and fellowship, the highlight of the night will be recognizing the outstanding students selected to receive these scholarships.
